How PolicySaint researches, writes, reviews and updates the guides on this site.

What we publish

Guides that explain how insurance is priced and how to compare it, written for people who buy insurance, not for insurers. We do not publish carrier rankings paid for by carriers, and no provider can pay to be recommended in a guide.

How guides are made

1. Research: primary sources first — the Insurance Information Institute, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, state departments of insurance, carrier filings and our own comparison data.
2. Drafting: our editorial team drafts with the aid of research and writing tools, then edits for accuracy, plain language and completeness.
3. Review: each guide is checked by a second editor; where a guide gives coverage advice, a licensed insurance agent reviews it, and their name appears on the page.
4. Dates: every guide shows a "last reviewed" date and is re-checked at least quarterly or when rules change.

What we do not do

• No fabricated statistics, testimonials or customer counts.
• No rate promises beyond illustrative ranges with their assumptions stated.
• No carrier logos or endorsements without an agreement.
• No government-style or urgency language.

How we make money

PolicySaint is paid by licensed insurance providers when we deliver a verified consumer who asked to be contacted. Guides are free to read and contain no affiliate rankings. Our comparison pages state this too.
